Jets minus 1 1/2 goals minus $1.10 (puck line) hosting Red Wings

I want the Jets going for me here and the way to do it is laying 1 1/2 goals with them on the puck line. I see this as a kill spot for the Jets so the puck line isn’t just a way of avoiding laying heavy juice as the oddsmaker also is anticipating a big Winnipeg victory.

Winnipeg is in must-win mode being seven points out of the last wild-card spot in the Western Conference with 12 games left. The Jets have lost their last two games, falling to the Maple Leafs and Kings. Now they draw a bad Red Wings team that is in a bad situational spot. The Jets are well rested having played last Saturday.

Detroit upset the Bruins, 5-3, last night after trailing by two goals. Detroit goalie Alex Nedeljkovic had a monster game with a career-high 47 saves. That likely means Thomas Greiss will be in net for Detroit. He’s terrible with a 5.03 goals against average in his last six games.

The Red Wings will be minus their second-leading scorer, Tyler Bertuzzi, due to Canada’s rule regarding unvaccinated workers. The Jets get back their leading scorer, Kyle Connor, and key defenseman Nate Schmidt. Both have been in COVID-19 protocol.

Winnipeg has defeated Detroit in five of the last six meetings, including the past three at home. The Red Wings are 1-8 in their last nine road games with all eight of the losses occurring by multiple goals.

I won my NBA Game of the Year by 21 points with the Bucks destroying the Bulls last night. That was part of a 3-0 NBA Tuesday. I have three NBA plays today headed by my Wednesday Wipeout Winner.
