Stephen has turned a profit in seven of the last nine years in the NBA. He was the No. 3 NBA money-maker at Vegas Insider during the 2017-18 season. Stephen also was the No. 2 money-maker in hockey at Vegas Insider, too, during this past season.

Stephen was an award-winning sportswriter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal for 13 years where his primary beats were sports gaming and football. Stephen also worked for newspapers in Wisconsin, Iowa and Louisiana, which have helped him maintain a network of top-level gaming and print sources.

A native of Racine, Wisconsin, Stephen graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1977 where he was both sports editor of the school newspaper and sports director of the campus radio station.
