Stephen Nover Free Saturday NHL Play

Lightning minus 1 1/2 goals minus $1.20 (puck line) hosting Predators

Talent-wise and motivational-wise I see a kill spot here for Tampa Bay. The Lightning suffered maybe the biggest upset of the season in their last game this past Thursday losing, 6-4, on the road to the Red Wings.

The defending Stanley Cup champions are 15-5 in their last 20 games with 12 of those victories occurring by more than one goal.

Nashville is enduring a down season. The Predators are at low ebb losers of five of their past six games. They rank both 28th in scoring and 28th defensively. First-string goalie Juuse Saros remains out forcing 38-year-old Pekka Rinne to pull down full-time duty. Rinne is past his prime. He has a 3.10 goals against average and .897 save percentage this season.

Tampa Bay has dominated the Predators this season winning all four meetings, outscoring Nashville by 12 goals.

I have one of my strongest NHL cards of the season going today with three totals plays in addition to this free selection. I also have three college basketball plays today.
