Cavaliers at Hawks Under 222 1/2
The Cavaliers are slightly below average defensively ranking 17th in points allowed per game at 112.2. Cleveland’s major problem is scoring. The Cavaliers are the lowest-scoring team in the NBA. They also rank last in offensive efficiency and play at a slow pace.
No wonder the Under has cashed in seven of Cleveland’s last nine games.
Maybe the Cavaliers’ offense will pick up with Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr. back from lengthy absences due to injuries. It’s going to take them time, though, for them to get the rust off. This is just their second game back and both are on minutes restriction.
The Hawks have picked up their defense since Nate McMillan replaced Lloyd Pierce as head coach. McMillan has been the coach for four games and the Hawks have allowed just 104.5 points per game in those games.
