Jose Berrios was once good. Then he got bad. Now he’s good again especially when he’s pitching in Toronto where he’s 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA this season. The Blue Jays have won 87.5 percent of Berrios’ home starts since 2021 going 21-3.
I like Berrios and Toronto to beat the reeling Red Sox.
Boston has stopped hitting. The Red Sox have managed only 11 runs in their last seven games. They are 1-7 during their last eight games, including losing their past five. Along with lack of hitting, the Red Sox may have the worst middle infield fielding in baseball.
The Blue Jays draw fragile lefty James Paxton. Toronto ranks in the top 10 against southpaws in batting average and OBP. Paxton has a 4.10 road ERA compared to 1.69 at home.
I finished No. 1 at VegasInsider.com in both NBA and NHL this past season. I also ranked No. 2 at Vegas Insider last college football season in winning percentage going 67-39 for 63 percent. I have beaten the NFL in 25 of the last 30 years and am heating up on the ball diamond going 27-13-1 on my last 41 MLB premium/free plays as documented by Pregame.com.
