Padres at Cubs Over 11 minus $1.20

Big total here. But don’t worry. The elements are in place for these two teams to produce more than a dozen runs.

Wind blowing out at 17-20 miles per hour. Two inexperienced starting pitchers. A terrible Cubs bullpen.

Yes, expect a big scoring game at Wrigley Field here.

Ryan Weathers is going to make his season debut for the Padres. He has a 7.29 ERA – in the minors this season.

The Cubs are going to give Caleb Kilian a second big league start even though he’s probably not ready either. The Cubs are down three rotation starters with Drew Smyly, Marcus Stroman and Wade Miley all injured. Kilian has a 5.40 ERA in his one big league start, which came 11 days ago against the Cardinals.

Kilian can’t expect much help from a Cubs bullpen that has a 7.88 ERA in their last 10 games.
