Nover’s View: Free MLB Thursday Play

On May 5, 2022, in Free Picks, MLB, by Stephen

Brewers minus 1 1/2 runs minus $1.15 (run line) (early start)

If the Reds aren’t an auto-fade for you against a good team they should be. And this is on the run line laying 1 1/2 runs.

Cincinnati is 1-19 in its last 20 games! All of those defeats except one have come by more than one run. The Reds have lost 12 consecutive road games. This day game is their final road game before a seven-game homestand.

The Reds have the worst pitching in the league and second-worst offense minus three regulars, including Joey Votto.

Cincinnati’s rotation is littered with young pitchers, who are being forced-fed to major league hitters. Rookie Hunter Greene may fit into that category. He’s hard-throwing, but lacks consistent commands and has a 6.00 ERA. He gets the start against Adrian Houser, who has proven reliable for Milwaukee especially at home where he has a lifetime 3.21 ERA.

Opponents are batting under .200 against Houser, who has not surrendered a home run in 21 1 3/ innings this season.

I lost my free play on the underdog Cubs Wednesday, but won my two premium plays. I am 14-7 on my last 21 NBA plays after cashing a totals winner with the Over in the 76ers-Heat game and 32-17 on my last 49 MLB Max Unit plays.
