Sabres minus $1.22 hosting Blackhawks

Here’s a meaningless regular season finale between the Blackhawks and Sabres. So why get involved?

It’s a good situation for the Sabres and the price is low enough to lay. That’s why.

The Blackhawks hit the road fat and happy following consecutive home victories against the Flyers and Golden Knights. The last time Chicago won three in a row was mid-January. The Blackhawks rank in the bottom seven both offensively and defensively.

The Sabres were riding a four-game win streak – until losing 5-0 to the Bruins last night. The Sabres did fire 37 shots on goal in that loss, but are several rungs below the Bruins. Now Buffalo steps way down in class.

This is a special home finale for the Sabres. It’s the last game for popular broadcaster Rick Jeanneret, who has been calling Sabres games for 51 years. He’s a member of the Sabres Hall of Fame and is extremely popular in Buffalo. So there could be a full house for this matchup. It’s safe to say the Sabres should be the more motivated team. They also are the superior team.

I also have an NHL totals play today in addition to this free selection. I am 12-5-1 on my last 18 premium/free NHL Over/Unders. My Friday card is headed by my MLB Game of the Month. I also have a play on the Grizzlies-Timberwolves looking to go 4-0 on my plays in this series. I am 11-5 on my last 16 NBA plays.
