Indians minus 1 1/2 runs minus $1.16 (run line) at Mariners

I’m not sure if I fully trust Cleveland’s offense. The Indians haven’t scored more than four runs in any of their last five games.

But I do trust Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber backed by a bullpen that has the second-lowest ERA in the majors.

I don’t see the Mariners doing much damage against this combination. Seattle is batting .205. That’s the lowest batting average in baseball. Bieber has a 1.32 ERA in two career outings versus Seattle.

The key is can the Indians cover laying 1 1/2 runs? They should since the Mariners don’t figure to put up too many runs – if any.

This is shaping up as a bullpen game for the Mariners with Robert Dugger as the starter. He’s pitched eight innings in four appearances this year. This will be his first start with the Mariners down several starters from their usual rotation. Dugger’s career record is 0-4 with a 6.62 ERA.
