Indians minus $1.14 at Mariners

It’s taken 16 games into the season, but the buy sign finally could be hanging on the Indians. Consequently, the Mariners have gone from play-on to fade as they have dropped four in a row.
Cleveland’s lineup looks a lot better now that Jose Ramirez appears out of his slump, Jason Kipnis has returned from his calf injury and Carlos Gonzalez is back in playing shape.
The Indians should be able to do damage against Mike Leake, who is mediocre, and a Seattle bullpen that went from outstanding last season with Edwin Diaz to vulnerable this season without an established closer. Leake has surrendered five homers in his last two starts.
I really like Cleveland starter Shane Bieber, who has a 1.80 ERA this season and is 8-0 lifetime on the road with a 3.25 ERA. Bieber has 15 strikeouts in 13 innings this season. The Indians have won each of Bieber’s last seven road starts.

Seattle opened a franchise-best 13-2. Not bad for a team that looked to be in rebuild mode. The Mariners can’t sustain that pace. They’ve hit a wall now dropping four in a row, scoring just seven runs in their last three games. The Indians are averaging seven runs during their past two games.
