Terrelle Pryor has been one of the big surprises of this NFL season establishing himself as one of the best running quarterbacks and masking much of the Raiders’ offensive line deficiencies.

However, Pryor has thrown eight interceptions and only one touchdown during his last four games. A big reason for this is Pryor isn’t right physically. Now he has a sprained MCL, which has cost him much of his explosiveness. It also might prevent him from starting Sunday against Houston.

Rookie Matt McGloin has been taking all the first-team reps at practice this week for Oakland and very well could make his first NFL start.

On another quarterback injury front, Christian Ponder looked fine passing the ball during practice on Wednesday. The right-handed Ponder suffered a dislocated left shoulder last Thursday against the Redskins, but is on track to start Sunday against Seattle.

The Vikings could see a familiar face as Percy Harvin is set to make his season debut Sunday, although his snaps could be limited as he works his way back from a hip injury that has sidelined him.

The 49ers are going to need all their weapons when they take on the Saints in New Orleans. That means getting back Vernon Davis, who was forced from last Sunday’s game against Carolina after sustaining a concussion.

Davis’ head injury is considered mild, though, and it’s looking good that he will play versus the Saints.

Jacksonville doesn’t have many players who could start for other teams. One exception is linebacker Paul Posluszny. He suffered a concussion last week against Tennessee and wasn’t cleared for practice on Wednesday leaving his status in jeopardy for Sunday’s game against Arizona.

Posluszny has the fifth-most tackles in the NFL. Anybody who plays fantasy football in which solo tackles count know the value of Posluszny.

The Eagles are likely to be without offensive tackle Jason Peters this week after Peters suffered a quad injury against the Packers. Peters has regressed, but still is an above average lineman. His replacement is journeyman Allen Barbre.

You wouldn’t think getting arrested for speeding AND having marijuana would keep an NFL star player from missing his next game would you? Silly question. Of course not. Knucklehead of the Week Dwayne Bowe is not only going to play for Kansas City, but he’s going to start.
