The best moment of the season occurred last night when Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter came out of the dugout to take Mariano Rivera out of the game marking Rivera’s final pitching appearance at Yankee Stadium.
Very heartwarming and sad.
It’s sinking in that baseball’s great relief pitcher won’t be pitching any more after Sunday.
It’s also sinking in that the Yankees aren’t going to be making the playoffs any time in the near future.
