Nover’s View: NHL Free Thursday Play

On October 26, 2023, in Free Picks, NHL, by Stephen

Bruins minus 1 1/2 goals minus $1.20 (puck line) hosting Ducks

The Bruins were historically great during the regular season last season and they are off to a 6-0 start this season. Boston defeated the Ducks in Anaheim, 3-1, this past Sunday. The Bruins should have no problem beating the Ducks by multiple goals at home.

Boston has the stingiest defense in the NHL giving up only seven goals in six games. Anaheim ranks in the bottom-five in the major offensive categories of scoring, shots on goal and power play percentage.

The Ducks are a little fat and happy, too, after halting a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 upset overtime road win against Columbus two days ago.

This is Boston’s first game in nearly two weeks. Boston has won 44 of its last 54 home games. The Ducks are in action for the fourth time in six days, all at different venues.

My Thursday card is headed by my NHL Game of the Month. I was ranked No. 1 in both the NHL and NBA by VegasInsider.com last season. I am beating the NFL for the 26th time in 31 years.
