Nationals plus $1.65 at Mets

By trading their closer, David Robertson, to the Marlins for minor leaguers ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, the Mets have begun planting the white flag.

The Nationals have played better on the road with a 23-27 record and should not be this high of underdogs to an underachieving morale-challenged  Mets squad that is 48-54.

Max Scherzer just turned 39. He isn’t in his prime anymore, not to be feared. He’s allowed four earned runs or more in four of his last five starts. He has a 4.20 ERA on the season.

MacKenzie Gore has faced the Mets twice this year. He’s 1-0 with a 0.90 ERA in those games. He is coming off five scoreless innings against the Giants this past Sunday.

I see too much value on the Nationals to pass on this game.

I finished No. 1 at in both NBA and NHL this past season. I also ranked No. 2 at Vegas Insider last college football season in winning percentage going 67-39 for 63 percent. I am the WNBA money leader at Vegas Insider. I have beaten the NFL in 26 of the last 30 years. If you are interested in my sports service, please email me at, or message me via Twitter.
