Padres minus $1.15 at Twins

The Twins are one game better than the Padres through 37 games. But the Padres are the superior team.

San Diego has the more feared lineup by far and has the better pitcher going in a matchup of Yu Darvish versus Bailey Ober. The Twins have played a far easier schedule than San Diego.

Ober is 2-0 with a 0.98 ERA. These are marks he can’t sustain. His three starts have come against three weak-hitting offenses – Nationals, Royals and Guardians. Ober is displaying promise, but at this stage he’s at least one level behind Darvish if not two or three tiers below him. Ober wouldn’t even be in the Twins’ starting rotation if not for an injury to Kenta Maeda.

The Twins are cold, too, at the plate. They are averaging only two runs per game during their last five games. Minnesota has the lowest batting average in the majors. There is not a single Twins player with more than 10 at bats who is hitting above .278.

I am No. 1 in both NBA and NHL at VegasInsider.com enjoying huge winning seasons in both of those sports. Baseball, though, has been an up-hill struggle so far. I beat the bases last year and I expect to do it again this season. If you are interested in my sports service please email me at scriber26@gmail.com, or message me via Twitter. All of my plays come with my signature analysis and are emailed well ahead of post. Thanks and no bad beats!
