Orioles minus $1.55 at Royals
The Royals are playing at home today. That’s not good for them. Kansas City is an astounding 1-13 at Kauffman Stadium this season.
It’s time to fade the Royals again at home with a hot Orioles team that is 12-2 in their last 14 games.
Baltimore is in the top-six in runs and batting average. The Royals rank in the bottom-three in runs, batting average and OPS.
Then there is the pitching matchup of Kyle Gibson versus Zack Grienke.
Gibson is 4-0 with a 3.93 ERA. He is 10-5 lifetime versus the Royals with a 3.79 ERA in 26 games that includes 24 starts. The last time he lost to the Royals was in 2018.
Greinke is just around for the paycheck these days, a mere innings-eater. He is 0-4 with a 6.10 ERA. That ERA rises to 9.20 if you go by his last three starts.
The Royals aren’t likely to have star catcher Salvador Perez either. He suffered a finger injury last night.
