Nationals minus $1.15 at Marlins
Patrick Corbin is a quality lefty. He began this season very cold. But he’s turned things around with a 2.79 ERA and 1.09 WHIP during his past three starts.
Miami is 8-15 versus lefty starters. They rank third-from-the-bottom in the National League in slugging percentage against southpaw pitching.
The Marlins beat the Nationals, 11-2, on Friday. However, the Marlins had scored only five runs during their previous four games.
Corbin is a proven commodity. Miami starter Zach Thompson is not. This is just his fourth big league start. He’s thrown only 12 innings so this could turn into a bullpen game for Miami. The Nationals are 9-1 in their last 10 games versus a righty starter.
Thompson is going to have to deal with Kyle Schwarber, the hottest home run hitter in baseball with 13 homers in his last 14 games.
(I am 8-4 on my last 12 NBA plays and have max unit rated plays today on both the side and total in the Suns-Clippers Game 4 matchup. I had both the Game 2 and Game 3 winners in this series. I also have my MLB Game of the Week today in addition to this free selection. If you are interested in my picks please email me at scriber26@gmail.com, or message me via Twitter.)
