Mets minus $1.07 hosting Braves

Please, a little more respect for Marcus Stroman and the Mets here.
The Mets, after all, own the best home record in the majors at 21-8. The Braves are three games below .500 on the road and three games below .500 on the season, while New York is 37-30 overall.

Charlie Morton isn’t Greg Maddux. Morton is coming off his best game, but that was last Thursday against the slumping Cardinals, who have scored two or fewer runs in seven of their last nine games. Morton has had a disappointing season with a 4.03 ERA. I don’t consider him in Stroman’s class. Morton has a 4.28 ERA in five road games. The Braves are 1-4 in those away contests.

Stroman has a 2.35 ERA in 14 starts. That ERA shrinks to 2.00 in six starts at Citi Field. Stroman is 4-0 lifetime versus Atlanta in four starts with a 1.88 ERA.

The Mets aren’t likely to have versatile Jonathan Villar in the lineup, but they did get back Jeff McNeil to boost their batting average.

(I am 16-8 on my last 24 MLB premium side plays and have two other MLB plays today in addition to this free selection along with a sides play in the Clippers-Suns matchup. I am on a 67 percent hot streak on my NBA Western Conference plays. If you are interested in my sports service, please email me at scriber26@gmail.com, or message me via Twitter.)
