Oakland plus 4 at Green Bay
Green Bay is playing well. But so is Oakland. I consider this Horizon League tournament game a toss-up so I’m grabbing the points with Oakland. The Golden Grizzlies are peaking at the right time going 5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS in their last six games.
Oakland defeated Green Bay, 92-88, in double overtime as a 2 1/2-point home favorite on Feb. 23. Green Bay won the first meeting between the two teams, 73-69, at home in mid-January rallying from a 15-point deficit.
The Phoenix hold a backcourt edge, but Oakland has a huge size and rebounding edge with Xavier Hill-Mais, Brad Brechting and Daniel Oladapo. All three rank among the top 11 in rebounding in the Horizon League.
Green Bay is just 3-9-1 ATS in its past 13 home contests. The Phoenix failed to cover as 8 1/2-point home favorites in its last game, a 74-67 win against Cleveland State this past Saturday. Oakland just beat Cleveland State at home two days ago in the first round of the Horizon League tournament, sailing to an 80-69 victory.
The Golden Grizzlies are 7-2-1 ATS as a road ‘dog and 9-3-1 ATS during their last 13 road matchups.
