Jazz minus 6 at Hawks
There will be a time to take the proper amount of points with the Hawks. Big man John Collins is due to come off the suspended list after two more games.
But for now the Hawks are a fade. Atlanta is 6-22. Only Golden State has a worse record in the NBA. The Hawks have lost their last five games by an average of 17.2 points. They are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games versus Western Conference opponents.
The Jazz have won three in a row. This is the start of a three-game road trip. The Jazz have been very good as a road favorite against bad teams covering eight of the last 11 times when facing opponents with a home winning percentage of less than .400.
Underrated Donovan Mitchell can match Trae Young’s scoring and the Jazz have a huge edge in the middle with Rudy Gobert and the Hawks missing Collins.
Point guard Mike Conley is out for Utah. That’s not necessarily a negative, though, for Utah. Conley has had trouble picking up the Jazz’s offense after being at Memphis for 13 years and was shooting a career-low from the field.
I cashed my NBA Game of the Week with the Celtics on Wednesday pushing my NBA record to 26-14 (65 percent) this season on premium plays. I have a Max Unit NBA play going today along with this free selection. I also have a hockey play today. I am 7-2 on my last nine hockey plays beating the NHL for a fourth straight season. I am 16-8 in college basketball and coming off a 12-3 bowl season last year. I have bowl plays going Friday and Saturday.
