Rangers minus $1.38 hosting Angels
RIP Tyler Skaggs.
It is going to be very difficult for the Angels to focus on this game after their popular teammate, Tyler Skaggs, unexpectedly died on Monday.
The Angels are 14-38 in their last 52 road games against above .500 foes and they just were outscored by 18 runs in losing their last three games against the A’s during the weekend.
Texas is 18-8 in its last 26 home games. The Rangers are expected to go with their best pitcher, Mike Minor. He is having a tremendous season with an 8-4 record and 2.40 ERA. Minor has a 1.70 ERA in his last five starts and a 2.03 home ERA on the season.
The Angels could start either Griffin Canning or Jose Suarez, who has a 5.57 ERA.
Either way this is an action play recommendation (not listed pitchers) based on the sad circumstances the Angels find themselves in.
