Don’t sleep on the Indians

It is just two games. But the Indians winning the first two games of their series against the Red Sox at Fenway Park is impressive. It’s far from a fluke, though. The Indians are very live to win the World Series at 10-1 odds now that they’ve shored up their bullpen.

Cleveland has the starting pitching to beat any team in a series with Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco and Trevor Bauer, who should be full-go when the playoffs begin. Mike Clevinger is a strong No. 4 starter.

The Indians rank in the top five in many of the major offensive categories, including runs, batting average and homers. Jose Ramirez and Francisco Lindor can match any team’s top offensive players.

The key for the Indians was improving their bullpen. They have done that now getting Brad Hand and Adam Cimber to go with closer Cody Allen. Versatile Andrew Miller is back healthy, too.

The Indians just narrowly missed capturing the World Series two seasons ago. I believe it’s their turn this year.
