Islanders plus $1.75 at Golden Knights
This has all the markings of a 4-3 type game. These are the No. 2 and No. 3 scoring teams in the NHL after all. So at this price, I’m going to take a shot with the Islanders in what figures to be a wild, shootout type of game where a lot of crazy type things could occur.
I understand Las Vegas is no ordinary expansion team. I will say, at this point, they are the best first-year team in NHL history if not all of sports history. But the Golden Knights have proven mortal lately going 3-3 int their last six games.
The Islanders are off a 3-2 overtime road loss to Arizona on Monday. Prior to that, however, the Islanders had won three straight away contests beating the Blackhawks, Canadiens and Rangers. The Islanders have scored five or more goals in four of their last seven games.
The Islanders also have the confidence of beating the Golden Knights during the first meeting, 6-3, at home on Oct. 30.
