The dreaded Pro Bowl is Sunday night. How low has this exhibition sunk to?
The AFC quarterbacks are going to be Alex Smith and Andy Dalton. Trevor Siemian was on the list to play, too, but he turned down the invitation. It would be fitting if the third quarterback turned out to be Brock Osweiler or Ryan Fitzpatrick. The game then could be hailed as Osweiler’s final NFL appearance.
Nobody wants to play in this worthless game – and who can blame them.
The baseball and NBA All-Star Games are enjoyable and have a tradition. The NFL Pro Bowl needs to be canned. Unfortunately it might take a serious injury before owners realize any money generated from this bad exhibition isn’t worth tearing down the league’s credibility.
