Dodgers at Blue Jays Free Play

Blue Jays minus $1.15 plus 1 1/2 runs (run line) hosting Dodgers

Once again, Clayton Kershaw is the premier southpaw in baseball if not the best pitcher period.

However, the Dodgers are playing poorly having lost eight of their last 10. Only three times during these past 10 games have the Dodgers produced more than three runs.

As great as Kershaw is, the Dodgers would be 1-4 in his last five starts at minus 1 1/2 runs. The Blue Jays have won 57 percent of their games against lefty starters during the past two seasons.

Rogers Centre is a tricky place to play for visiting teams, especially those not used to it. So it’s no fluke Toronto is 25-9 in its last 34 interleague home games.

The Blue Jays are on a four-game winning streak. They have knuckleballer R.J. Dickey going. The Dodgers don’t see knuckleball pitchers in the National League. Dickey has held opponents to three or fewer runs in four of his six starts.

This is a very early starting time, too, for the West Coast Dodgers something they aren’t used to.
