When healthy, Logan Gilbert might be the best righthander in the American League. After missing May with a right elbow injury, Gilbert has made two starts this month and is getting back in his groove. He has a 16-to-1 strikeout-to-ratio in his last two starts.

Seattle hits way better on the road. Given this, Gilbert pitching and a low lay price, I’m backing the Mariners.

The Mariners have won eight of their last 10 games against Texas.

Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi was enjoying an outstanding season, but he’s been out with a triceps injury. This will be his first pitching performance since May 27. There could be rust and there could be a pitch count for Eovaldi.

Seattle ranks third in road batting average and OPS. The Mariners also have the fourth-best road slugging percentage.

The Rangers are in the bottom-five in runs, batting and OPS. They rank 29th in slugging percentage at home.

My Friday card is topped by my American League Game of the Year. I also have an MLB totals play and WNBA Play of the Day looking to go 14-6 on my last 20 WNBA premium/free plays in addition to this free selection. Best of luck and no bad beats!
