Padres plus $1.35 at Dodgers (Westgate)

The big news here is the greatly anticipated return to the mound of superstar Shohei Ohtani. That has to be exciting – and distracting – for the Dodgers.

Ohtani is a remarkable story. The best pitcher/hitter since Babe Ruth.

However, the reality is this: Ohtani hasn’t pitched since September of 2023 because of Tommy John surgery. He’s going to be rusty and he’s not going to pitch very long, an inning maybe two innings at most. So what we really have here is a glorified bullpen game for the Dodgers. LA ranks 19th in bullpen ERA at 4.08.

The Padres counter with Dylan Cease, who just pitched against the Dodgers this past Tuesday. Cease dominated the Dodgers throwing seven scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts in an 11-1 San Diego romp. Cease has had better seasons, but the high strikeout numbers are still there with 96 in 75 2/3 innings.

I am 10-2 on my premium/free plays the past four days, including a plus $1.63 free play winner with the Marlins on Sunday. I have a baseball totals play and NBA play today in addition to this free selection. I am 33-15-1 on my last 49 Canadian Football Leagues, beating the league for the 11th time in 12 seasons, and 7-2 on my last nine WNBA plays beating that league for the fifth time in six seasons.

If you are interested in my sports service, please email at scriber26@gmail.com, or message via X (Twitter). All of my plays come with analysis and are emailed well ahead of game time.

Best of luck and no bad beats!
