Dodgers at Padres Over 8 minus $1.15
When the Dodgers last saw Dylan Cease it was in last year’s NLDS. They faced him twice. It did not go well for Cease. The Dodgers shelled him for eight earned runs on 10 hits in only five innings.
The Dodgers haven’t lost any of that offense. They rank either first or second in many major offensive categories, including runs, batting average, homers and OPS.
Cease isn’t in sharp form either. He’s given up three earned runs in each of his last three starts spanning just 14 2/3 innings.
The Padres should do their share of damage against what shapes up as a bullpen game for the Dodgers. Perhaps it’s karma for their big-spending ways, but the Dodgers have eight starting pitchers on the injured list. LA’s bullpen ranks in the bottom-13.
Yeah this game is at pitcher-friendly Petco Park. But the Padres have scored at least six runs in four of their last six home games.
In addition to this free selection, I have plays in baseball – looking to go 19-8 on my last 27 premium MLB plays – the WNBA looking to go 14-8 on my last 22 plays – and hoping to stay unbeaten in the NBA championship series. I also am 7-3 on my last 10 Stanley Cup plays and 31-15-1 on my last 47 CFL plays.
