Mariners plus $1.15 at Red Sox

Brayan Bello is set to make his major league season debut today. The Red Sox shouldn’t be expecting much.

Bello tailed off last season finishing with a 4.49 ERA. He wasn’t impressive in four minor league rehab starts going 0-2 with a 7.07 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. Bello gave up four runs on six hits in his last minor league start for Double-A Portland.

Bello faces Bryce Miller, a solid No. 3 rotation starter. Miller was 12-8 with a 2.94 ERA last season. Miller has a 3.43 ERA this season. He’s surrendered only one home run in his four starts. Bello allowed an average of 1.4 homers per nine innings last season.

Seattle is a better offensive team away from its pitcher-friendly home park. The Mariners are averaging five runs a game on the road, which puts them in the top-six. The Mariners also rank fifth in the majors in homers and are No. 2 in steals.

So I find nice value in getting the Mariners at an underdog price.

I am 10-0 the past four days on my baseball, NBA and NHL plays. I’m in action in all three sports today with an MLB Totals play along with NBA and NHL plays. If you are interested in my sports service, please email me at scriber26@gmail.com, or message me via Twitter (X). All of my plays come with analysis and are emailed well ahead of game time.

Best of luck and no bad beats!
