Wyoming plus 7 1/2 hosting Nevada
Those who follow Nevada know the Wolf Pack have problems when playing at Arena-Auditorium in Laramie. They’ve lost five in a row there.
I don’t know if the Cowboys can make it six straight against Nevada, but I’m sure willing to accept this many points to find out.
The Wolf Pack aren’t playing particularly well going 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five games. They dropped their last game to Colorado State as an 8-point home favorite.
Nevada hasn’t been able to fully overcome the departures of last season’s backcourt of Jarod Lucas and Kenan Blackshear.
This is only Nevada’s second true road contest. The Wolf Pack were upset by Loyola Marymount, 68-64, laying eight points on Dec. 7.
Wyoming is far from outstanding. But the Cowboys rank in the top-40 in rebounding rate and Nevada is one of the lowest-rated teams when it comes to offensive rebounding. The Cowboys also are 5-0 at home, although they haven’t faced an opponent at home anywhere near the caliber of Nevada.
Still, this is a lot of points for the Wolf Pack to lay in what has been a house of horrors for them.
