I understand the goal of NFL teams is to win the game, not cover the point spread. Having said that, though, I’ve never seen a more frustrating team to bet on, or a luckier team than the Kansas City Chiefs.
I had the Chiefs in a big way this past Sunday night against the Chargers. Naturally the Chiefs won in lucky fashion and didn’t cover.
That makes it seven straight non-covers for the Chiefs. Kansas City happens to be 12-1. Yet the Chiefs are not even inside the top 10 in point differential. Their last five victories have been by average of three points. They are 15-0 in their last 15 one-score games, including 11-0 this season.
If there is such a thing as karma, which I have come to seriously doubt, the Chiefs will lose in the playoffs in unlucky fashion.
They are the worst 12-1 team in NFL history.
