Dream at Fever Over 162

Caitlin Clark has given Indiana an exciting identity and huge box office appeal. But Clark can’t do anything about the Fever’s lack of defense. Indiana has the worst defense in the WNBA giving up an average of 89.8 points a game. The Fever also rank at the bottom in defensive field goal percentage and are second-to-last in defensive 3-point shooting percentage.

Atlanta has one of the better scoring backcourts in the league with Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. The Dream were averaging 84.4 points in five games vs below .500 opponents until their last game this past Tuesday. The Dream had an off-shooting night and lost 87-68 to the previously winless Mystics. That was the second-most points the Mystics had scored in 13 games.

The Dream ranks fifth in 3-point percentage and free throw percentage. So I expect Atlanta to hold up their offensive end and not have a second straight bad shooting night.

Clark should be fired-up for a big-scoring effort after she was snubbed from the Olympic team. The Fever have other effective scorers, too, in Kelsey Mitchell and forwards Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith.

I am beating the WNBA for the fourth time in five seasons and off to my best start with a 19-6 mark on my WNBA plays this year. I have my WNBA Game of the Week today in addition to this free selection. I’m also riding a 7-2 baseball premium play streak and am 16-6 on my last 22 Canadian Football League plays with a play going this weekend.
